The apartments are wheelchair accessible, have wide passageways, no thresholds, and electrically height-adjustable beds. The fully equipped kitchens are also adjustable in height. In the bathroom you have access to an adapted toilet, double washbasin in two heights and two showers. One of the showers is equipped with a folding shower seat.

De Egmonden is fully adapted to the wishes and needs of wheelchair users and is therefore unique in the area.

The Egmonden is situated in a wonderfully quiet location at the edge of the dune.

The bustling center of the atmospheric Egmond aan Zee and the beautiful sandy beach with its boulevard are approximately 750 meters.

This is a handy combination that you can enjoy as you choose Voorstraat is the village with all its shops, restaurants and pleasant terraces and is car-free.

All 25 very large apartments have the same facilities. De Egmonden has beautiful apartments for groups between two and eight people. These are particularly spacious and mutually switchable by means of a connecting door. The apartments vary in size from 62 m2 (2 p.) to no less than 184 m2 (8 p.). All have a large and accessible balcony of at least 10 m2. Do you need more space for a mobility scooter, walker or (electric) wheelchair? Then you've come to the right place. Equal treatment and maximum hospitality have the highest priority. That is why every apartment is fully accessible to our guests, whether they have a care question or not. The warm interior of De Egmonden creates a family atmosphere. The complex has a cozy lobby and restaurant with induction loop. For general use, there are two additional bathrooms available, one with a shower stretcher and one with a bathtub. There is also a wheelchair-accessible infrared cabin.

The parking garage has a headroom of 2.45 meters and there are two lifts in the building.

The basis of the accommodation is self-catering. If desired, dinner can be ordered at the well-known Egmondse Restaurant Natuurlijk.

De Egmonden has its own wheelchair-accessible fitness room. We also have our own physiotherapy practice in-house. The Egmonden is built with priority for the highest environmental and social requirements. It is energy neutral.

The Egmonden is equipped with solar panels and uses geothermal energy. There is no gas connection. In short: The Egmonden apartment complex is future-proof.
